Intervention
People suffering from alcohol and drug addiction are often in denial of the severity of their illness and the tremendous impact that it is has on their lives and the lives of the people around them. A professional intervention, a guided process by which family, friends and a trained professional lovingly confront the addict and their disease, can be highly effective in engaging the patient into treatment. The staff at Hollywood Recovery Services can help the individual understand the severity of their addiction and provide them with the support, motivation and guidance necessary to receive the treatment that they desperately need.

Assessment and referral

One of the most important aspects of truly effective addiction treatment is a proper assessment by a qualified professional. Hollywood Recovery Services understands that every person is unique in their symptoms and circumstances and requires specialized planning in their addiction treatment. We provide full and comprehensive assessments for each of our patients so that they receive treatment specifically tailored to meet their individualized needs. In addition, our extensive network of resources built upon years of activity out in the field and in the addiction community provides our patients with quality referrals to settings appropriate for successful recovery.

Case Management
It is our strong belief that addicts and their families need an advocate through this difficult process. The road to recovery can be consuming and overwhelming and someone who is knowledgeable… who can provide help, guidance, knowledge and support through this difficult time… can provide comfort and support while the addict focuses on what is most important… recovery. We provide each patient with full and comprehensive case management throughout the entire treatment process… from the first phone call and consultation… to discharge… and even aftercare. We are there every step of the way.

Group Counseling

Group counseling sessions serve as a core aspect of successful alcohol and drug addiction treatment. Group sessions cover a variety of topics such as 12-step education, process and relapse prevention and education. Groups take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-2pm and provide safe, structured environments where people can learn about their addiction and receive support and encouragement from others who are also in treatment.

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling sessions provide patients with the opportunity to educate themselves about their addiction and work on ways to sustain successful recovery in a one-on-one setting with a certified chemical dependency counselor. Counselors and patients collaborate and work together to develop ways to maintain sobriety and prevent relapse.

Family Counseling

The disease of addiction affects not only the individual abusing the substances… but the entire family as well. Family counseling sessions can provide the addict and his or her loved ones with an opportunity to work on the process of recovery together. What often gets lost in the fights, disagreements and conflict that often accompany the disease of addiction… is the underlying love that family members have for one another. Family counseling sessions provide opportunities for loved ones to connect and fight the illness together… increasing the chances for sustained recovery.

Addiction Recovery Lectures (for patients and their families)

Addiction Recovery Lectures take place every Thursday evening at Hollywood Recovery Services and are open to all patients and their families. These lectures educate patients and their families about the disease of addiction, the process of treatment and recovery and provide an opportunity for patients and their families to interact with the staff and ask questions.

Aftercare Program
Addiction recovery is a lifelong process that requires ongoing, continual care. Aftercare meetings take place every Tuesday evening at Hollywood Recovery Services and are available to all patients following discharge. Aftercare groups provide former patients with a system where they can continue to receive lasting help and support to continue their successful recovery from addiction.

I have been blessed to have worked closely with Shelly and Bob. In my opinion they are two of the most singularly talented professionals working in the field of addiction treatment. Their ability to reach the addict who may be closed off to everyone in their lives and motivation change saves lives.
